Our Assessment

Why we recommend Mar-Bella Collection.

Four distinct hotels within one collection: the most considered way to experience Corfu as a family or couple.

We know the property personally. Choosing the right sub-brand matters more than the collection itself: Nido or Elix for quiet stays, MarBella Corfu for families, Avali for smaller groups wanting a boutique feel. It begins with you: we match the recommendation to your travel dynamic.

  • Private beach with direct sea access at every property, shared with no outside guests.

Climate & best time to travel

When it rewards you most.

Best time to travel May to June and September to October

Corfu lies in the Ionian Sea and is greener and wetter than the Aegean islands, which keeps the landscape lush year-round. The season is long: May/June and September/October bring 22 to 28 degrees without the high-summer crush. July and August reach around 30 degrees and busier beaches. Rain falls mainly between October and April, while high summer stays dry.

  • May to June 20 to 27 degrees, an island in bloom, sea around 21 to 23 degrees. Quiet old town and empty bays.
  • July to August Around 30 degrees, July the driest month, busier beaches. Full season but steadily sunny.
  • September to October Warm sea, gentle light, easing crowds. A fitting time for boat and old town.
  • November to April The wettest part of the year, which keeps Corfu green. Cool and quiet, many beach hotels closed.

Experiences

What you come here for.

  1. Day at the collection's private beach

All properties in the collection have direct access to their own beach on the bay of Agios Ioannis Peristeron, without infrastructure shared with outside guests.

  2. Evening in Corfu old town

The UNESCO site with its Venetian fortress, narrow lanes and tavernas lies about thirty minutes away. It comes alive in the evening without feeling overrun.

  3. Visit to the Achilleion palace

Empress Sisi's palace on the hill above Gastouri, with gardens and a wide view over the island. Of cultural interest and quiet in the morning.

  4. Boat trip to Othoni island

The westernmost point of Greece lies off Corfu's north coast, almost without tourism. Clear water, small coves and a quiet harbour taverna.

Local Experiences

What shapes the stay.

  • Boat trip to Othoni Island, the westernmost point of Greece, almost undiscovered by tourists.
  • Corfu Old Town (UNESCO World Heritage): Venetian fortress, narrow alleys, and lively tavernas, around 30 minutes by taxi.
  • Achilleion Palace of Empress Sisi above Gastouri: historically rich with beautiful hillside gardens.
